Nick Hernandez’s writing touches on the bleaker side of life in contrast to the sunny surroundings of West Palm Beach, Florida, where he was raised. His mission is to create games that touch on the struggles that many people face in their everyday lives. Stories like taking care of a loved one with Alzheimer’s, or living as a single mother with a menial job; these are the worlds that Nick wishes to bring light to. Though his passion is to give hope to those who struggle, he does also enjoys writing for other genres and mediums. His inspiration for writing fantasy and hardship comes from the world of books. It was there that he discovered his love of The Spiderwick Chronicles as a child. The series showed him worlds outside of our own, and he sought to create them himself.

 

Nick loves to write interactive fantastical, and contemporary worlds. Mother, his latest project, involves the player going through the life of a single mom who has to juggle taking care of her sick parent, budding son, and breakneck job. In addition, Nick is currently working as a Living World Developer for ArenaNet. Nick Hernandez earned his Bachelor’s of Fine Arts degree in Creative Writing for Entertainment from Full Sail University.
